Author’s notes: It’s not my first time to write fanfics but it is my first time to write for this fandom. And I haven’t written for a long time so I might be a bit rusty. Please feel free to leave a comment anyway! (This is in Gerard’s POV.)


I smiled upon entering the coffee house.

He was there again on his usual table.

He has always been there with his dog, sipping his hot coffee and listening to the music on his player.

I don’t exactly know when I started to notice him, what attracted me to him.

Maybe it’s because of those hypnotizing red lips that seem to beckon me all the time.

Or maybe it’s the way his brown hair shines in the light.

Or is it the fact that I always drown in those deep blue eyes whenever I look at them.

The list goes on, but one thing’s for sure. I can’t stop thinking about him.

Several times I’ve tried to approach him, start a small conversation, and maybe end up being more than just friends.

Fear was what stopped me. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be welcomed in his presence, that he might not trust me.

After all, it’s hard to trust a person when you can’t see him.

I guess that’s one of the reasons that made him special. He just seems so vulnerable most of the time because of his disability and that makes me want to be close to him, to always protect him.

Yet here I am, still keeping my distance from him.

Maybe I will eventually have enough courage to approach him and talk to him.

Maybe I’ll get over this crush and move on after a short time.

Maybe I’ll lose my chances of having him for not acting soon enough.

No one really knows what the outcome will be, but for now, I’m content with just watching him from afar.
